They make it sound so easy:
- Pick a niche
- Find a problem
- Create a product
- Sell
You follow these steps and you see that it doesn’t do shit for you. So you try to figure out what’s wrong.
Maybe it’s the offer so you create or buy another. Maybe it’s your email sequence so you rewrite it. Maybe it’s the sales page so you find a new template.
And all of those things could suck ass, but chances are they aren’t the problem.
The problem is a lot simpler than that.
It’s your positioning. You sound like everyone else. You move like everyone else. You promise things like everyone else.
Just because you have the magic solution for your people it doesn’t mean they are paying attention enough to care. They’ve see people like you before. They’ve read those words a million times.
You’re just another generic, off-brand person trying to help them. Get in line.
Be the Outsider
We spend so much of our lives trying to fit in that for some reason we think that’s the best strategy for business. Or you buy some knock off course from someone who gives you 99 templates and 137 AI prompts to make life easier, but all they do is make you a copycat.
So people don’t give a shit that you exist.
Sounds like a harder life to me.
You want to be the outsider. The one that stands out to the people who don’t see themselves in the crowd.
Sounds like less money, right?
Wrong. We ain’t trying to share the cake. We create our own that only we get to eat.

How many millions of others are trying to do the same and failing? It’s not that I know more than them (I mean, I probably do but that’s besides the point).
It’s the fact that I showed you something different.
You know you can make money selling digital products. You know you can make money on social media. But you also know it’s hard as shit for some reason and you’re tired of hearing people telling you that you just need to stick with it.
The only thing you’re being persistent with is banging your head against the wall.
With the right positioning, there are no walls to hurt your head on.
What Is Positioning?
You could read a book written 40 years ago that could teach you about positioning but it wouldn’t be relevant today.
Why?
Because you’re not creating soap that sits next to 5 others soaps on the grocery store shelves.
You’re competing with millions of other people with personalities who are always trying to get in the face of your audience. Simply having different packaging isn’t going to do shit for you.
I could design this page to be fancier, but I’m trying to prove a point to you. Yes, how things look can help some, but there are better things to attack first that will have a bigger impact.
When you’re able to focus on those things, everything becomes easier. Instead of feeling like you gotta show up every day to sell, you simply talk to your people and they take action.
No tricks. No complicated funnels.
Content is easier to create. Money is easier to make. Business becomes enjoyable.
You Should Probably Leave
Want to know what makes positioning uncomfortable to some people? Great positioning leaves people out and leaving people out feels like a missed opportunity.
It makes sense, but it also doesn’t make sense because when you think about dating, we don’t go around looking for every person.
We look for the one who is right for us. And that person doesn’t appeal to everyone. They appeal to a small core group.
But that core group gives them mad love and that’s what matters.
Instead of trying to go viral and hope that 10 people out of your 100,000 views buy your product, you go for 500 views and know that 25 people are going to be ready with their wallets.
Your job is to actively push people away so then the right people know who they are.
